The Details
Project Overview. Your will focus on one of the UN’s Global Goals and will develop a product, project, or detailed research paper. Your aim will be to show your employers how you can translate all that you have learned here at USF, particularly here in the Department of Communication, into demonstrable skill sets.

Project Proposal. In your project proposal, you will:

Introduce your topic, framing the issue and including some initial research (with citations) on why it is an important/interesting project to engage with.
Next, tell me why this is an issue that is well-addressed via the discipline of , including which subarea(s) of Communication will offer the tools to help you address your project (health comm, organizational comm, media and cultural studies, performance, public advocacy, relational comm, etc).
Next, describe the product/project you will develop. In addition to describing what the product will look like, be sure to tell me who your intended audience is and the outcome you hope to achieve. This is where you can get creative! Can you record a series of podcasts around a theme? A PSA and social media campaign? A course or after-school program for high school students? A successful online event or fundraiser? A paper for your graduate school application? Think outside of the box here! What skills do you want to develop or further hone?
Finally, cite at least 3 scholarly articles within the body of your and include a works cited page. The proposal of your final draft must use MLA or APA style, 1-inch margins, Times New Roman and 12-point font. News and industry articles may be used in addition to the 3 required sources.
