“Desire” by Alice Walker

-Close analysis by accurately and consistently identify important figurative language, syntax, diction and/ or sound devices significant to the assigned section in the SECOND stanza (LINE 7-13) of the poem to shows that the narrators want to get past her unfilled desires and rather seek devotion by putting her whole self into it; how she evolved.
-For the poem, my thesis is “When one for short term desires, they will be left unfulfilled, while true fulfillment is found within devotion.” So make sure that the devices you identify clearly defend the thesis.
